Rachel Burgess
Project Manager
Since joining SIR in 2005, Rachel has been immersed in every aspect of the research process at SIR. As
Project Manager, she is responsible for developing survey instruments, fieldwork supervision, data
analysis and the reporting of research findings. She has also been actively involved in SIR's Boomer
Project, and through her secondary research she has helped the Boomer Project grow to become one of
the leading Baby Boomer resources around the country and the world.
Rachel graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in International Business and Marketing with an emphasis in Spanish. In 2007 she served as a
mentor for a business course from Grove City that explored international business and culminated in a
two-week trip to study business in China.
Rachel is involved in various activities in the community. She has served on the board of the Richmond
Advertising Club as its Treasurer. She is involved as a volunteer with U-Turn’s youth soccer program as
well as with the youth group at Third Presbyterian. An avid athlete, Rachel enjoys playing soccer,
running, and snowboarding.
