Rachel Burgess
Project Director
Since joining SIR in 2005, Rachel has been immersed in every aspect of the research process at SIR. As Project Director, she is responsible for project design, questionnaire development, fieldwork supervision, data analysis, reporting, and presentation. Initially, Rachel started her time at SIR working on the Boomer Project, a subsidiary and think tank of SIR focusing on generational research.
Rachel graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania where she earned a bachelor of science degree in international business and marketing with an emphasis in Spanish. In 2007 she served as a mentor for a business course from Grove City that explored international business and culminated in a two-week trip to study business in China.
Rachel is involved in various activities in the community. She has served on the board of the Richmond Advertising Club as its treasurer. More recently she has served on a strategic planning committee for the Richmond Christian Leadership Institute where she led a team tasked with establishing metrics to gauge success and finding areas to improve the four-year-old non-profit. She has also been serving on a select committee at her church fundraising for their five-year capital campaign.
Rachel is also an avid athlete and enjoys playing soccer, running and snowboarding. In the fall of 2010, she completed her second full marathon.
