Anna MacIntosh
Project Director

Anna supervises all aspects of SIR's research projects, including project design, questionnaire development, fieldwork supervision, data analysis, reporting, and presentation.

Marketing research is in Anna's DNA. Since entering college, Anna has passionately pursued a career in research. After graduating from Williams College with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Psychology, Anna continued her focus on behavioral science at the University of Virginia where she obtained a Master of Arts in Social Psychology. At the University of Virginia, Anna became well-versed in research and statistical analyses, including structural equation modeling and multivariate statistics. Anna's Master's Thesis was entitled Sense-Making Under Uncertainty: The Relationship Between Implicit and Explicit Measures. During her graduate studies, Anna served as a Graduate Research Assistant, designing and running experiments, performing statistical analyses using SPSS and SAS, presenting data in written and oral form, and overseeing a number of undergraduate Research Assistants.

Prior to joining SIR in 2005, Anna was the Senior Research Analyst for the University of Virginia Center for Survey Research, a unit of the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, where she designed, implemented, and analyzed telephone, internet, and mail surveys for a wide variety of national and regional organizations served by the Center.

From 2006-2008, Anna enjoyed a stint on the client-side as a Research Manager at Capital One but missed engaging with SIR's wide range of clients and has recently rejoined the SIR team.

When Anna isn't helping SIR clients propel their organizations forward, she's propelling herself forward by swimming, biking, and running in the sport of triathlon. Anna recently completed her first Ironman Triathlon, which consists of swimming 2.4 miles, biking 112 miles, and running 26.2 miles (all in one day!).
